A Letter From Our President
Greetings from the Iota Nu chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Incorporated.  Thank you for taking the time to browse through our site and learn more about our international organization, our chapter and our members.

Over one hundred years ago, Alpha Kappa Alpha was founded on the campus of Howard University.  In January of 1908 a small group of women came together to accomplish an enormous task.  Our founders, determined to enhance their college experience to the greatest extent, created the first African-American sorority for college women.  For the past century, Alpha Kappa Alpha has been devoted to promoting high scholastic standards, empowering women, and being of service to all man kind

With the guidance and vision of our current International President, Barbara A. McKenzie, Alpha Kappa Alpha aims to promote physical and mental wellness as well as economic success through technology and entrepreneurship.  Iota Nu will indubitably be involved in these endeavors  in an effort to better our peers, our community and ourselves.
