Professional Advisor: Tim Dodson, APR
Tim Dodson is a seasoned communications professional with a 20-year career
in public relations, advertising and marketing. He specializes in creating written
communications that inform, motivate, persuade and sell.
Tim established an independent communications consulting practice in 2001 after a two-year stint as vice president with Citigate Dewe Rogerson, the U.S. affiliate of Incepta Group plc, a London-based, global, interdisciplinary communications organization. He previously spent eight years as Tennessee Director of Marketing for Andersen Consulting (now known as Accenture), the world's leading international information technology consulting firm.
Recent clients include a Miami-based accounting/management consulting practice, a travel publishing company, a medical technology firm, and a number of not-for-profit organizations. He has also taught the introductory public relations course at the University of Miami.
Tim served as 2002 president of the Public Relations Society of America's Miami chapter and has earned the APR (Accredited in Public Relations) designation, a distinction held by fewer than 50 other public relations practitioners in the Miami area. He also serves on the board of directors of the Advertising Federation of Greater Miami. Tim was named professional advisor for the University of Miami's PRSSA chapter in late 2003.
