PRSSA KICKS OFF SPRING SEMESTER

PRSSA will be holding its first general meeting 
on Wednesday February 4th at 6:30pm in Eaton 
Residential College classroom 148.  This will be 
a short introductory meeting where members 
will get a change to meet the executive board 
and hear about the benefits of being in PRSSA 
as well as receive information on upcoming 
events and PRSSA's agenda for the spring 
semester.  PRSSA hopes to provide its members 
with valuable information and opinions about 
the industry by having professionals attend 
meetings and share experiences.  
We also hope to create an environment where 
students can interview for internships and jobs 
by hosting a number of networking events.  By 
becoming an official member of PRSSA, 
students also have access to a variety of job 
search engines as well as the opportunity to 
apply for various scholarships through the 
national organization.  PRSSA welcomes 
students from all majors and encourages 
students to bring friends or peers they feel 
would benefit from what our group has to offer.  
Join PRSSA Wednesday and at every general 
meeting and discover just what PRSSA can do 
for you!

PRSSA GENERAL MEETINGS

Due to suggestions from PRSSA Members, the 
Executive Board has pre-set all of our spring 
meetings.  To help accommodate all members, 
we have alternated each meeting, holding three 
on Wednesdays and three on Tuesdays.  It is our 
goal that all members will be able to attend 
several meetings. Save these dates and keep an 
eye out for upcoming events, such as our 
Valentines Day Bake Sale and volunteer events.

UM PRSSA DUES UPDATE 
 
If you are a spring paying member and would 
like to renew your membership to PRSSA, it is 
necessary that you pay your dues by February 
15th.  Dues can be brought to Maria Lopez on 
the 3rd floor offices in the Wolfson building.  
Be sure to fill out a membership form, there are 
extras in the PRSSA mailbox. As a reminder, 
dues are $55 and checks should be made out 
to UM PRSSA. Because Maria will be handling 
our dues, we ask that you bring in checks and 
not cash.  Dues may also be given directly to

SCHOLARSHIP INFO
Each year the School of Communication offers 
several scholarships for its students. Anyone 
looking for a little extra money for next 
semester is encouraged to apply for these 
scholarships. Applications can be picked up on 
the 3rd floor of the Wolfson Building (room 
3005) and are due on February 27th by 4:00pm.
