Personal Financial Planning Certificate Program
Designed for students preparing for professional examinations
and professional practice in personal financial planning.
Topics addressed are Investment Planning, Retirement Planning,
Income and Estate Tax Planning, Insurance Planning, as well
as how to develop a comprehensive financial plan. The University
of Miami’s comprehensive Personal Financial Planning
certificate program will prepare you to pass the rigorous
CFP® exam. This program is endorsed by the Certified Financial
Planner Board.
Human Resources Management Certificate Program
This certificate provides the latest in proven techniques
and strategies to effectively manage organizational challenges.
This program covers the following topics: Legal and Regulatory
Issues; Employment, Planning, and Placement; Current Trends
in Employee Benefits; Developing and Administering Compensation
Programs; Training and Development and Employee and Labor
Relations. The HR Program is recognized by the Greater Miami
Society for Human Resource Management, this program delivers
a comprehensive curriculum ideally suited for all human resource
professionals, especially small business owners.
Paralegal Studies Certificate program
The UM Paralegal Studies program is an intense four-month
course of study which certifies the successful student as
a qualified professional ready to start an exciting new career
as a paralegal. Classes are taught by prominent local attorneys,
Judges and Magistrates. The Paralegal Program classes are
offered on the weekends, weekdays or weekday evenings at various
locations- Downtown, Broward, and Coral Gables. This program
is also available online in both English and Spanish.
Coaching Certificate Training Program
This Coach Certificate Training Program is designed to support
you in becoming a professional coach or in using coaching
skills to enhance your leadership, management, and/or communication
skills. This program has been written by master coaches and
aligns with the International Coach Federation (ICF) Core
Coaching Competencies. The University of Miami has designed
a thorough, basic program that will allow you to make a powerful
leap into using coaching skills and becoming a professional
coach. This program is structured in 10 six hour modules with
total classroom time of 60 hours.
Transportation Management Certificate Program
The Transportation Management Certificate Program will accelerate
your career with the needed management skills in both public
and private transportation and transit industries. Topics
addressed are Transportation Development; Leadership Theories
and Skill Enhancement; Financial, Service Quality, Maintenance
and Operations Management; Risk Management, Safety and Security;
Human Resource Management and Development; Managing the Policy
Environment; and Marketing and Customer Service.
