This solo exhibition by Colin Sherrell, M.F.A. ’14, is designed to provoke thought about a range of topics, from the spiritual to the taboo. Exhibit runs from July 12-26, 2014, at the University of Miami Art Gallery in the Wynwood Building, 2750 NW 3rd Avenue, Suite 4.

Conquest and Coexistence: The Cultural Synthesis of Spanish Colonial Art, the sixth installment of ArtLab @ The Lowe, opens May 16, 2014, and runs through April 25, 2015. The exhibition, which reflects the unique cultural coexistence of Spanish colonizers and local populations in America, was curated by UM students, supervised by Assistant Professor Karen Mathews.

Presented by University of Miami Libraries Digital Collections and the Cuban Heritage Collection, In Search of Freedom is a new digital exhibit of 42 photographs and publications illustrating the early years of the Cuban Refugee Program.

The Bill Cosford Cinema provides a wide variety of contemporary, classic and foreign films in a single-screen, art-house cinema serving the University of Miami, Coral Gables, and greater Miami for more than 60 years.
