Office of Undergraduate Research

Our mission is to provide mentored research experiences to undergraduates in all disciplines and provide outreach in the community through support of research at Miami Dade College and in the public/private K-12 school systems.

Our community outreach to middle schools, public and private high schools, and Miami-Dade College consists of summer and academic year programs designed to encourage more student diversity in science.

These programs provide dynamic and exciting mentored research experiences for young students and for community college students that help to prepare them for further education in science and related fields.  Contact our  program coordinator if you are a student or a parent interested in finding out more about our undergraduate research programs or our community outreach programs.

The application process consists of:

1. Complete the  application form.
2. Complete an academic resume, and print the most recent unofficial copy of your transcript available on MyUM.
3. Submit these documents to the office of Undergraduate Research and Community Outreach.
4. Schedule an interview with the program coordinator to discuss your interests
