The Orange Bowl is the home of the Hurricanes.

The Stock Market Crash of 1929 caused students to have to go door to door in order to solicit funds to keep the University alive. A year later, 30 graduates of the University created the Alumni Association.

The University continued to grow from there establishing its first radio broadcast, hosting its first Homecoming celebration, forming a marching band and seeing the dedication of the Orange Bowl in the City of Miami.
