food is a large part of South Florida
culture. You'll find Cuban, Argentinean,
Brazilian and more.

Most Miami
Beach hotels built between 1935 and 1941 are
from the Art Deco movement. The area from Sixth
to 23rd Streets between Ocean Drive and Alton Road
was designated the Art
Deco Historic District by the National Register
of Historic Places in 1979.
In the 1960s another population
boom arrived in South Florida through Cuban
exiles. Cubans and Cuban-Americans have made
a major impact on South Florida's culture, languages
and commerce—owning more than one third of
local businesses.
