Opened in 1918 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places, the Alamo is the inspirational centerpiece for the 76-acre University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center. Opened 1918, as the original City of Miami Hospital, it was renamed James M Jackson Memorial Hospital in 1924 in honor of its original medical director. |
