Following two years of planning, including internal assessments, benchmarking against peer institutions, and a comprehensive online and telephone alumni survey, the University of Miami Alumni Association is proud to complete the third written strategic plan in its history.

The plan will serve as the blueprint for the strategic direction for the next several years and a launching pad for continued success. It will build upon the University's current strategic plan, Accelerating Ambition, to play an important role in shaping the University's future. Broad goals call for achieving higher ambitions and distinctions, working toward cementing alumni bonds to the University, and cultivating national and international networks of volunteer leaders.

Based on the responses to our 2012 alumni surveys, it is clear there is a cohort of alumni ready for further involvement with the UM Alumni Association and the University. Alumni U Realizing this potential requires more strategic communications, expanded regional networks, and a data-driven approach to planning. The UM Alumni Association and the Alumni Board of Directors will need to bring sharp and sustained attention to the seven priorities elaborated in the strategic plan.

Priority Focus Areas
