Mission StatementThe Joseph B. & Mildred F. Pomerance Library & Resource Center was established in 1989 by the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences and the Center for Adult Development & Aging, with a generous gift from the Abbey Foundation, Inc. The mission of the Pomerance Library & Resource Center is to support the research, education, and training activities of the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences and the different affiliated programs. The library also supports the needs of health professionals and students from the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center and from the community. The Collection The Pomerance Library maintains a collection of materials devoted primarily to clinical psychiatry and psychology, and other areas of mental health. The Pomerance Library collection consists of books, periodicals, and audiovisual (AV) materials. The books can be found through the online catalog for Calder Medical Library (CALLCAT).
